Toy Distribution
On Saturday, our clients are invited to choose gifts for their children at one of the 2 shop sessions. Volunteers are needed for check-in and check-out, to assist clients with toy selection, and to provide help getting toys to cars. speakers are especially welcome. Over 100 volunteers are needed for each shop session, and help is also needed between sessions for re-stocking toys.

and to stay for their entire session. The first 30 minutes of each session are for Share–A–Gift .Please consider volunteering with your children on Toy Shop Setup days – kids are really helpful in sorting toys that belong together and matching pieces!

When do you need volunteers?Answer:
Volunteers are primarily needed during our Toy Shop Setup and Toy Distribution days (this year, December 11 to December 14, 2019 ). Check back in October to register.
These are the best times for families with children to volunteer.
– Younger children (client or volunteer) are permitted in the Toy Shop on that day.
Collect toys
• Sort toys
• Inventory toys
• Set up an attractive shop so parents can easily choose what they would like
• Transport collection boxes and toys
• Help to give away toys
• Help with toy shop clean up
— shifts are arranged in two-hour time slots, but volunteer time is flexible.
— we request a 5-hour commitment at specific times (each shift includes a required orientation at its beginning).
— we restrict numbers to approximately 30 persons in the shop at any one shift. These are the best times for families with children to volunteer.
Yes – we are a registered not-for-profit corporation and can document community service hours. We can provide a form, or you may provide your own required for sign-off.
